NOTE : The following features are available only for
‘Registered Users’
Uploading File(s)
It’s the most easiest part, simply go to Site Menu : Users
> Registered Users > Upload Files. You can add many files browsers
there to upload multiple files simultaneously. Once you start uploading you
will keep get the download progress details and when done you will be alerted
if your files are valid or invalid.
Managing Uploaded File(s)
To manage all your valid uploaded files, just go to Site
Menu : Users > Registered Users > Manage Files. In that place you
rename, move and delete your files and folders. Creation of new folders is also
supported.
To move any file/folder, just simply drag it and drop it to
the destination folder.
To rename any file/folder, double click on it and type new
name. Next, click somewhere else outside the editing box. Avoid using enter
key, it may cause some error.
To delete any file/folder, select it and press the “Delete”
button from the toolbar.
To download any file, just select it and press the “Download”
button.
To create a new folder, select the destination folder and
press the “Add” button. It will create a folder with current date and
time. You can rename it anytime.
The “Refresh” button followed by every folder name,
can be use to refresh the current folder content.
The “Menu” nearby “Refresh” button, can be use
to sort the respective folder, either by File Size or by Creation Date.
Submitting File(s) to Exhibit
Okay, you’ve uploaded your file but that file can only
downloadable by the user who knows the static URL. So, what about the anonymous
users who may actually need it ? Therefore, to solve this kind of thing you need
to give it a layout with some sort of descriptions, screenshots, links and any
other details. Consequently, the user can find out about the file before
downloading it. Furthermore, the file will be visible to all users browsing the
Files’ Vault.
To submit a file, go to Site Menu : Users > Registered
Users > Create New File.
Some typical fields information is written below :
Parent ID : If
you’re submitting a next version of any file you’ve already submitted. Then you
don’t need to enter anything, just leave it blank. However, when you submit
this file and it get approved, find its file ID and put in all older versions’
Parent IDs. To get the file ID, click on “Straight Link” at the right of file
viewer. When the page reloads, you can see id in Address Bar.

Release Date :
Select the date of your file release, first select year, then month then click
on the Day.
NOTE : If you select Day
first then you change month or year, you must reselect the day else the old
selected date will be retrieved.
File Address :
Enter your file address in this field, you can browse your files using the
bottom-right button.
NOTE : Do not enter any
other site link in there. If you haven’t uploaded file yet, then open a new
tab, upload it and write the URL in that field or simply browse your files.
Options

Visible : If it is
checked then the file will visible to everyone, if not checked, then only you
and admin can see it.

Only for Registered Users
: Quite understandable, appears to only users those are registered. Anonymous
users will get a login page URL link instead.

Lock Comment : If
checked, the comments in that file cannot be added.
Category : If you
don’t find appropriate category, just select any category you find better. The
admins will take care of it.
Links :
Below each link drop down container, you will find 4
options.

Add : To add a URL of
any site, e.g. www.google.com.

Browse : To browse your
uploaded files.
·
Deleted Selected : To
delete the selected link. A confirmation message will popup as well.
·
Update Title : To update the title of selected link. Title
will appear to user not the URL. So don’t forget to update it when you add a
new link.
Modify Exhibiting File(s)
To modify a file, click on “Straight Link” at the
right of file viewer. Then click on the “Modify” button that can be
found in the site top container.


File Groups
A file group is useful to bring together interconnected
files or files’ versions. So that, user can see all the files in that group by
just clicking on the “Show Group” in File Viewer.
NOTE : “Show Group”
will only appear when you have selected a group for the file.
Furthermore, file groups also helps to keep your files
updated to their users (If you are using in-built check for update feature)
To set the file group, click “Modify” button. When
page loaded, select the “File Groups” tab.
